Message Frequency

• These Messaging Terms and Conditions (“Messaging Terms”) set forth the general terms and conditions governing your access to, use of, and interactions with the text messaging platform used by 400Forests to deliver text messages to you. The text messaging platform and all related text messages from 400Forests are collectively called the “400Forests Messaging Services."

  Message Frequency

• Message frequency will vary. 400Forests reserves the right to adjust the number of messages sent at any time, either increasing or decreasing total frequency. On average, as of the last update of these Messaging Terms, we send approximately four messages per month. Messages may include—but are not limited to—updates on 400Forests’ conservation and climate programs, membership and fundraising opportunities, invitations to volunteer, and ways to engage in advocacy and surveys.

 

  Consent to Messaging

• By subscribing to the 400Forests Messaging Services, you consent to receive automated text messages from 400Forests that support and promote our charitable mission. Consent to receive automated messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

  Fees and Charges

• 400Forests does not charge a fee to receive text messages. However, message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile service provider. Charges are billed and payable to your provider or deducted from your prepaid account.

 

  Opt-Out and Help

• To stop receiving messages, text STOP to the number provided in our messages or contact us at info@400forests.org.

• If you are experiencing issues or have questions about the 400Forests Messaging Services, text HELP to the number provided or email info@400forests.org.

 

  Data and Privacy

• Data obtained from you in connection with the 400Forests Messaging Services may include your mobile number, carrier’s name, and the date, time, and content of your messages. This information may be used to contact you and provide services you request from 400Forests. Please note that SMS alerts may not always be delivered if the mobile phone is out of range, if network capacity is unavailable, or due to other factors beyond the control of wireless operators. Wireless providers do not guarantee message delivery and are not responsible for delays or undelivered messages.

  Liability

• 400Forests will not be liable for any delays in the receipt of SMS messages, as delivery depends on effective transmission by your network operator. You are solely responsible for securing connections and covering any telecommunication fees related to access.

• 400Forests uses www.twilio.com as its service provider for the 400Forests Messaging Services.

  Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction of residence, to subscribe to the 400Forests Messaging Services.
