A Message from Our President

Today, as climate change drives longer droughts, harsher floods, and rising heat, we are ever reminded of the extreme urgency with which we must treat our biodiversity, and specifically, our forest resources.  The need to regenerate ecosystems vital to our very survival, coupled with the undeniable truth on what lies ahead if we don’t, presents a clear and undeniable policy necessity to put together a collective global front in humanity’s drive towards a more sustainable tomorrow. We focus on forests because they are at the core of all we do: protecting our water resources, sustaining our food sources, regulating global carbon levels, and mitigating environmental extremes in various forms. 400Forests International was born from that simple truth: when we protect and restore our forests and related ecosystems, we restore something in ourselves, our health, our livelihoods, our sense of possibility.

Today, our mission is practical and urgent: to conserve and regenerate forests where protection delivers the greatest climate, biodiversity, and community benefits per dollar through rigorous science and transparent finance. We work with local stewards and governments to design projects people can see, measure, and trust. We don’t promise miracles; we promise execution. That means clean books, open data, independent verification, and impact you can trace from seedling to satellite. It also means humility, listening first, co-creating with people who know their forests best, and learning fast when conditions change. We are building a culture where a field officer’s observation can change a program design, and a donor can see exactly what their contribution achieved, plot by plot, year by year.

If you are a funder, partner, farmer, or neighbor to the landscapes we serve and the green ecosystems within them, I invite you to walk with us on this journey. Visit a nursery, an ocean farm, meet the women running seed banks, talk to youth crews maintaining firebreaks, sit with elders mapping sacred groves. The work is technical, yes—but it is also profoundly human. Your support doesn’t just “offset” something abstract; it equips people to care for the places that care for all of us.

Thank you for believing that another way is possible, one that rewards stewardship, restores dignity, and lets future generations inherit more than our intentions. At 400Forests, our door is open for more communities, more action, and more partnerships. Write to us, challenge us, join a field visit, or start a pilot with your city or company. Let’s make 400Forests a promise we keep, together.

Thank you.

ACT TODAY!

The environment we have is not just the space we live in, it is the intricate system of air, water, soil, climate, plants, and animals that makes life possible. Healthy ecosystems regulate the planet’s temperature, purify water, store carbon, pollinate crops, and protect us from natural disasters. But this balance is rapidly being disrupted.  Add your Voice! ACT NOW!
